The AC mechanism and it’s working
Typically, the AC cools down your room by taking in warm, moist air and cooling it to redistribute it back in the form of chilled air. As the air is cooled down by the condensing coils, the trapped air moisture condenses and is collected in a pan. While the cold, dry air is blown back to the room, hence lowering the indoor air temperature. For a centralized HVAC unit, this condensation is moved through the drain line into the drip pan. Window units work in the same manner, but their drip pan is located at the bottom of the unit. But it is a concern if you notice water dripping out of the unit and into the room.
How to fix the water dripping sound coming from AC?
If you hear more frequently and if water splashes occasionally, then you should follow these steps:
- Turn off the AC – whenever you are trying to fix an issue in an electronic device, make sure you have turned off the system. Be it an AC here, or a fridge, never operate anything when it’s plugged into the power.
